Today is Harvey Milk Day. Happy Birthday, Harvey Milk!
That is bull. The It Gets Better project teaches teens that there is more to life than bullying. Maybe if someone had pointed that out to Tyler he would still be here. If this was enough to push Tyler over the edge, he needed more help then he was getting. That is what the project tries to do, reach out and help. If you accept who you are then what someone like Ravi does will mean less to you.

You can’t dismiss what Ravi did even though he is not directly responsible for Tyler’s death. I would have liked to see him get at least six months, but, ultimately, Tyler made his choices . Educating kids to accept who they are so bullying doesn’t matter is the only solution to this ongoing problem.
Take what you have been given Mr. Ravi and do some good with it.
